New Delhi: Delhi Police have arrested a Chinese national for residing illegally in the Shakarpur area of Delhi after his visa expired, an official said.
The accused has been identified as Yu Jia. He has been living in India since 2019, police said.

Upon his arrest, it was revealed that he had been receiving treatment for HIV at a local hospital, police said.
"Delhi Police arrested a Chinese national identified as Yu Jia who was illegally living in Delhi's Shakarpur area after his VISA had expired. During an investigation, it was found that he has been living in India since 2019.

An FIR has been registered. He claimed that he was HIV positive and was undergoing treatment at a hospital. Police have already informed the FRRO for further proceedings," Delhi Police said.
