Kawardha: At least 15 labourers were killed near the village of Bahpani in the Kukdur police station area of Chhattisgarh's Kawardha district after a pickup truck fell into a ditch. About 25 labourers, who were returning after collecting tendu leaves in a pickup truck, fell into a ditch.
In this incident, 15 people lost their lives, including 14 women and one man.

Eight individuals were injured and have been rushed to the hospital for treatment, said Abhishek Pallav, Kawardha SP.
Following the incident, Chhattisgarh Deputy CM Vijay Sharma expressed condolences and assured of all possible assistance to victims and their families. (with Agency inputs)
