Change in the statement by Shivpal: No formation of new party

Shivpal Yadav after filing nomination from his seat, Jaswant Nagar, on the SP symbol, said they would be waiting for the results on March 11 and after that, they will form a new party.

“I have not formed any new party and what I meant is that I will take any decision only after analyzing the election results”, Shivpal.

Etawah: Former Samajwadi Party Uttar Pradesh state president Shivpal Yadav on Monday denied the reports suggesting a new party formation with Mulayam Singh Yadav after the assembly polls results.

"We are not forming any new party," Shivpal told reporters.

Earlier, after a struggle for power and falling from grace of Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam has announced he will form a new party after the results of the assembly polls in the state are out.

"The results will be announced on March 11. We'll form a new party after that." -Shivpal earlier while addressing a rally in Uttar Pradesh.

The rumours of formation of a new party by 'disgruntled' Mulayam and Shivpal got further credence as the Samajwadi Party patriarch had recently campaigned against his son and Chief Minister of UP Akhilesh Yadav. In an election rally recently, Mulayam said he was unhappy with the newly formed SP-Congress alliance in the state. (ANI)
