Chandigarh Mayor Polls: Supreme Court says eight 'defaced' ballots are valid; Orders fresh counting

Chandigarh: The Supreme Court on Monday during the hearing of the plea challenging the Chandigarh Mayor elections, remarked that the votes at the poll shall be recounted and the 'invalidated' eight votes shall be treated as valid and the results be declared based on that.  

The Supreme Court also said that the returning officer in Chandigarh Mayoral polls Anil Masihh has to be prosecuted as he was interfering with the election process.
