New Delhi: As soon as the news of Supreme Court granting interim bail to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Friday in Delhi Excise Policy Case, reached the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) office in the national capital, huge celebrations by Party supporters unfolded, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

Arvind Kejriwal has been granted interim bail by the Top Court till June 1.

A large number of supporters and well-wishers gathered at the Party office and danced and chanted slogans in favour of AAP and their leader Arvind Kejriwal.

Several INDIA bloc leaders have welcomed the Supreme Court verdict of granting bail to Kejiriwal and have expressed their happiness.

A bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta said Kejriwal is being granted interim bail till June 1 and he will have to surrender on June 2.

The bench refused the request of senior advocate Abhishek Singhvi, appearing for Kejriwal, that the interim bail be granted till June 5 -- a day after the votes are counted on June 4.
