CBI probe sought into Vadra-Bhandari nexus
BJP leader and Supreme Court Advocate Ajay Agarwal has requested the CBI to register FIR and investigate into the nexus between Robert Vadra and fugitive dealer Sanjay Bhandari.
New Delhi: BJP leader and Supreme Court Advocate Ajay Agarwal has requested the CBI to register FIR and investigate into the nexus between Robert Vadra and fugitive dealer Sanjay Bhandari.
In a letter to CBI Director Alok Verma, Agrawal, who had contested the Rai Bareli Lok Sabha elections in 2014 against Congress President Sonia Gandhi, has stated that since last couple of days a story showing the record of e-Mails exchanged between the Travel Agent, fugitive Arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari and Robort Vadra was being telecast by a news channel.

“It is a very serious matter and the entire Gandhi family is involved in corruption in defence deals and country’s security is threatened and compromised by this,” Agarwal said.
He further said that Rajiv Gandhi, the then Prime Minister, was one of the accused in Bofors gun deal scam.

Agrawal also mentioned in the letter about revelations of Michael Hershman, the first investigator of Bofors Scam who has stated that Rajiv Gandhi had pressurized him to close the probe in Bofors. (UNI)
