New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday rejected a PIL seeking an FIR against Justice Yashwant Varma over the discovery of burnt wads of cash from his Delhi residence.
According to Dynamite News Correspondent, rejecting the peal, a bench of Justices Abhay S Oka and Ujjal Bhuyan said an in-house inquiry was aleardy in progress and there would be several options CJI after the probe's conclusion.

The petition was filled by advocate Mathews Nedumpara. Nedumpara, in the plea, said the common man is asking several questions- Why no FIR was lodged on the day when the cash was discovered.
Earlier on Thursday, Allahabad High Court Bar Association Chief Anil Tiwari said that CJI Sanjiv Khanna has given assurance to bar leaders to consider their demand against Delhi High Court Justice Yashwant Varma's transfer to the Allahabad High Court.
