Canada: Sikh woman found dead inside walk-in oven

Ottawa: A Sikh teenager woman was found dead inside a walk-in oven of a bakery in Canada's Halifax city, police said.
The police is trying to ascertain the identity of the deceased. She was employed at the store.

Officers were called to the store on Mumford Road at around 9:30 pm on Saturday, where they found the woman dead, The Globe and Mail newspaper reported, citing the police.

Balbir Singh, the secretary of the Maritime Sikh Society, said the society has been in touch with the mother of the 19-year-old victim and learned that the woman and her mother are originally from India, according to the newspaper.
Walk-in Oven
Her body was found in a walk-in oven, police said. Such large ovens, also known as cabinet or batch ovens, are often found in large-volume bakeries in places such as supermarkets and big-box stores.
