Udaipur: Officials in Rajasthan's Udaipur demolished the illegally constructed house of a boy accused of stabbing a classmate on Saturday.
The Udaipur district administration carried out the demolition after allowing the accused's family to remove their belongings. Authorities confirmed that the accused and his father had been living on rent in the unauthorised structure.
To ensure the operation proceeded without incident, a substantial police force was deployed at the site. Despite these precautions, a minor scuffle broke out between locals and police when the officers asked them to vacate the area.

The accused, a class 10 student, allegedly stabbed a fellow student at a government-run school in the district on Friday, leading to heightened communal tensions in the Madhuban area. The student has since been detained by the police as investigations continue.
The demolition highlights the administration's firm stance on unauthorized constructions and its swift action in response to incidents that disturb public order.
Soon after the stabbing incident, members of several Hindu right wing outfits gathered in the Madhuban area and set fire to at least three cars parked in a garage and indulged in stone pelting.
