New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presenting her 8th consecutive Budget today, highest by any Finance Minister, reports Dynamite News correspondent.
Here are the highligts of the budget:
Union Finance Minster announces PM Dhan Dhyan Krishi Yojana. Nirmala Sitharaman says it will benefit 1.7 crore farmers.
Centre to launch 6-year program for Atamnirbharta (self-reliance) in pulses with special focus on tur, urad, and masoor, Sitharaman said.
New Fund of Funds for Startups
New Fund of Funds for Startups to be set up to power Entrepreneurship: FM said. Fresh contribution of another Rs. 10,000 crore, in addition to existing government contribution of Rs. 10,000 crore New Scheme for 5 lakh Women, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes first-time entrepreneurs.
