Prayagraj: Actor Mamta Kilkarni has been expelled from Kinnar Akhara days after her coronation as Mahamandaleswar.
The decision comes after many spiritual leaders expressed disappintment over her coronation.
Akhara founder expels actor
Founder of the Akhara Rishi Ajay Das expelled the actor and Mahamandaleshwar Laxmi Narayan Tripathi from the Akhara.

Das, in a statement, said that Mahamandaleshwar Tripathi and others in the Akhara had committed an unconstitutional act and acted against the principles of Sanatana Dharma by appointing the actor as Mahamandaleswar.

Action was taken against Tripathi for inducting the actor into the akhara who has faced treason charges in the past.
