Hardoi: Samajwadi Party (SP) Chief Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday said that the BJP was afraid of PDA's growing strength and that the people of the PDA would defeat the saffron party in Uttar Pradesh by-elections.

Responding to a question asked by reporters, former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, who was in Hardoi today, said: "They (BJP) have coined a new slogan as they are afraid of the PDA's growing power. People are joining the PDA. We all know the origin of this slogan."

Talking about the coming state by-polls, he said, "BJP would loose all nine seats in the state by-polls. Their (BJP) strategy is clear, first falsely implicate someone and then tarnish their image through Media.

"They (BJP) are not able to generate jobs, inflation is rising and they are also hurting the Constitution from time to time," he further added.
