Bihar: Car loaded Nepalese liquor seized in Darbhanga; Peddlers fled the spot

Darbhanga: A car loaded with a huge quantity of Nepalese liquor was seized from the Beta police station area in the Darbhanga district of Bihar on Friday late at night.
Police said here on Saturday that during vehicle checking, liquor peddlers left a car loaded with a huge quantity of Nepalese liquor and escaped from the spot.

As the peddlers noticed the presence of police for vehicle checking in the Beta police station area, they parked the vehicle near the clinic of a doctor, 200 metres ahead of Donar Chowk, and managed to escape, the police added.
"When the car was searched, 1494 bottles of Nepalese liquor kept in 10 bags were recovered," police said, adding that an FIR against the car owner had been registered at the concerned police station.

Raids were being carried out to nab the liquor peddlers, police informed. (with Agency inputs)
