Bihar: 2 killed, 5 injured in Patna Metro tunnel construction mishap

Patna: Two labourers were killed and five others injured after the brakes of a loco pickup failed at the Patna Metro construction site near the exit of NIIT at Ashok Rajpath.

A DMRC official said the incident happened due to mechanical failure in the machine. One person died on the spot. While six injured were admitted to a nearby hospital. Another worker died during the treatment. The matter is being investigated.

After receving the information, police reached the spot. The incident occurred during the night shift on Monday when a loaded loco pickup developed a snag. The deceased workers were from Odisha.
