Chamoli: Around 50-60 workers are feared trapped following a glacier broke off Chamoli in Uttarakhand, reports Dynamite News correspondent.

The incident was reported from Mana Pass located in Chamoli. 

10 workers rescued 
IG Garhwal Rajiv Swaroop said that so far 10 labourers have been rescued. At the same time, three people are being taken to the army hospital with the help of ITBP and the army. The search for others is ongoing.

The construction workers of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) camp were engaged in work on the border area of Mana village in Badrinath, officials said on Friday 

The BRO camp has also been damaged in the mishap. 
 

According to Dynamite News correspondent, the incident of glacier breaking occurred on Friday morning.

After receiving information about the incident, Army and ITBP teams have been sent to the spot.

It has been raining continuously in Chamoli for the last two days. The District Magistrate has asked all the officers and departments to remain alert.
