Karnataka: Bengaluru cabbie surrenders before police after killing wife

Bengaluru: A 39-year-old cab driver, who allegedly killed his wife on the suspicion of extramarital affair, surrendered before Sampigehalli police to confess his crime, offials said on Wednesday. 

According to Dynamite News correspondent, the cabbie has been identifid as Chandrashekhar. He was taken into custody after police visited the crime scene.

The accused was suspicious of his wife's character and that prima facie was the motive behind the killing, according to the police. 

The couple would often argue with each other as she was always on the phone having conversations with someone.

A quarell broke out between Chandrashekhar and his 35-year-old wife during which in a fit of rage, he allegedly strangled her to death. 

The couple have two two sons -- 10-year-old and a six-year-old. They married in 2013.
