The oath was administered by Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot at Raj Bhawan.

In the morning, Basavaraj Bommai offered prayers at Bhagavan Sri Maruthi Temple in Bengaluru and then met BJP's central observer Dharmendra Pradhan and former chief minister BS Yediyurappa.
