Bareilly: Man held for making objectionable remarks against Maha Kumbh Mela

Bareilly: Uttar Pradesh Police on Saturday arrested a man for making some alleged objectionable remarks about the coming Kumbh Mela on social media. 

In a social media post the 24-year-old accused allegedly challenged to not let the Mela take place, no matter how many people he has to behead, the police said

Case lodged for hurting sentiments 
The police said a case was registered at Prem Nagar Police station in the Bareilly against him for making objectionable comments against CM Yogi Adityanath and Temple; for hurting the sentiments of the Hindu community.  The police added that objectionable and provocative comments about Maha Kumbh from his social media account.  


The matter came to light when several locals, including Hindu organisations, brought police's attention to the social media post.
