Assam: Two suspects arrested, weapons recovered from Terrang village

In a joint operation carried out by 20 Bn CRPF, the Civil Police and a STF in Assam's jamindar Terrang village, two suspects were held while several weapons including rifles and grenade were recovered.

Terrang: In a joint operation carried out by 20 Bn CRPF, the Civil Police and a Special Task Force (STF) in Assam's jamindar Terrang village on Monday, two suspects were held while several weapons including rifles and grenade were recovered.

Zona Singh Rongpi, a suspected member of terrorist group, Karbi People's Liberation Tiger (KPLT), and a link man, Manjeet Bhumij, were arrested.

The following recoveries were also made: Rifle AK-56-1, body no.19095741, two Grenades, 5.56 Amn (135 in number), 7.62 Amn (150 in number), AK 56 Mag (2 in number), Mag X95 (4 in number), and one Khukri.
