Amit Shah first-time minister in PM Modi’s cabinet, takes charge as Union home minister
Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah on Saturday took charge as the Union home minister. Shah thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he took charge of the Home Ministry.
New Delhi: The bjp president amit shah on saturday assumed charge as 30th union home minister of the country.union home secretary rajiv gauba, intelligence bureau director rajiv jain and other senior officials of the home ministry were present at north block to receive mr shah.

Mr. Shah has fair experience of internal security as he served as gujarat home minister under the then chief minister of gujarat and now prime minister narendra modi.sensitive issues like jammu and kashmir, including article 370, 35a, national register of citizens (nrc) and that of rohingyas' need to be addressed by the incumbent minister on priority.
