Bijnor, UP/ 8 February 2017. Continuing to tear into the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav established that now with a firm 'hand' of the Congress Party on the 'cycle's handle, the Samajwadi party can peddle its way against the strongest of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'hailstorm'.

"I was told that we have given a lot of seats to Congress. We say we have given them a lot of seats because we are forming a true friendship with the Congress. Therefore, one has to keep a big heart, without which this feat is not possible. You can't be miserly in your friendship, it won't last long," Akhilesh Yadav said in a rally here.

Indulging in a bevy of puns and metaphors he said "at times when you are taken over with enthusiasm, you let loose the handles of the cycle (Samajwadi party) and peddle your way ahead in ease. Now with Congress' hand on the handle, you can imagine the pace this cycle is going to gain from here on."

He further said that Samajwadi Party is also capable of peddling in the counter-direction of the great storm the BJP is posting to threaten them with.

"BJP is insisting upon its hailstorm, I ask them where is this hailstorm? Nobody has seen it. And even if there is one such storm, then we also know how to race our cycle against the motion of the wind."
