Akhilesh Yadav begins two-day visit to poll-bound Madhya Pradesh
Former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday kicked-off his two-day visit to Madhya Pradesh.
Bhopal: Former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Saturday kicked-off his two-day visit to Madhya Pradesh, which is expected to go to polls this year to elect members to the 230 constituency seats in the state.
Akhilesh is scheduled to address two public meetings- one in Shahdol and the other in Balaghat-on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.

The visit comes as part of the SP's agenda to strengthen its presence in Madhya Pradesh, according to a statement issued by Rajendra Chaudhary, the party's national secretary.

“People of the state have assured support for the Samajwadi Party in the upcoming assembly election,“ he further said while alleging that corruption has been rampant in the state during the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government led by the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
He also informed that the SP is all prepared to go to assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh with full strength. (ANI)
