'Agnipath' is disastrous for future of the country and the youths, says Akhilesh Yadav

New Delhi: Opposition to the new 'Agnipath scheme' announced by the Centre for recruitment in the Indian Armed Forces is intensifying. In Bihar's Jehanabad and Bastar, many youths came out on the streets against the scheme. 

Many students in Delhi, Rajasthan and Haryana are also opposing the scheme. Various politicial leaders have also condemned and disapproved of the scheme.

Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav targeted the central government over 'Agnipath' and called it merely a negligent and casual attitude of the government. He said that the scheme will prove devastating for the country's future and that of the youths.

Besides Akhilesh Yadav, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, BSP supremo Mayawati and many other leaders have also put the Modi government in the dock on Agnipath scheme.
