Punjab: AAP leader hospitalised after being shot in Fazilka

According to reports, AAP local leader Brar was taken to a government hospital in Jalalabad city before being referred to the district medical centre in Ludhiana. Read further on Dynamite News:

Ludhiana: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Mandeep Singh Brar was hospitalised after being injured in a shooting incident in Fazilka. 

According to reports, AAP local leader Brar was taken to a government hospital in Jalalabad city before beiong referred to the district medical centre in Ludhiana. 

The shooting incident reportedly happened  on Saturday outside the office of the block development and panchayat officer (BDPO) following a heated argument between Shiromani Akali Dal workers and AAP cadres.

AAP condemns the incident

AAP has condemned the incident and said violence has no place in the democracy. 

"Violence has no place in our democracy. The unfortunate attack on our sarpanch candidate in Jalalabad is deeply concerning," AAP spokesperson in Punjab Neel Garg posted on X.

"AAP believes in peace, development, and fairness for all.
 We stand strong against criminal mindsets and urge authorities to take swift action," he further added.

Police investigating the matter

The police said that they were investigating the case.
