Noida: A panel discussion on ‘Hiring Landscape in the Age of AI’ was hosted as a part of the Media Connect HR Conclave 2025 by Training and Placement Cell of DME Media School on Friday here in Noida. The Conclave was held under the supervision of Dr Parul Mehra, HOD DME Media School.
 
Eminent Media Professionals and HR experts discussed the Artificial Intelligence (AI) role in recruitment, evolving job market and how aspiring individuals can navigate these changes.

Dr. Parul Mehra in her opening address, emphasized the crucial role of HR in hiring and shaping industry professionals. She highlighted that DME Media School not only imparts technical expertise but also instils ethical values and industry principles, preparing students to face real-world challenges.


Earlier Garima Jain, Co-Convenor, Media Connect extended a warm welcome to all the distinguished guests and panelists. 

During the interactive session the panelists shared insights on how AI is reshaping recruitment processes and enhancing operational efficiency. They emphasized that AI should serve as a supporting tool rather than a complete replacement for human expertise.

While addressing the gathering, Manoj Tibrewal Aakash, Editor-in-Chief Dynamite News, invoked the students to develop expertise at least in one domain while acquiring interdisciplinary knowledge to stay relevant in the Media industry. He said that AI is important, but more important than that is our behavioral skills.

Tibrewal urged the students to evolve the ability to face challenges and to work under odd circumstance to become a successful media person.

Senior HR Manager Shweta Singh addressed ethical concerns and said that AI-generated scripts in journalism are unreliable and that is why the original reporting is essential.

Aditi Malhotra, HR Expert emphasized that media professionals must be multi-skilled, and capable of scripting, editing, and packaging content independently.

PR Expert Manoj Kumar Sharma emphasised the need of SEO-SMO strategies, strong writing skills in public relations and warned against excessive reliance on AI. 

The Conclave concluded with an interactive Question Answer session where students sought guidance about their career in the Media industry and the role of AI in the life. 

Vishal Sahai, Convenor, Placement Cell extended the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the panelists and all the guests for their esteemed presence and valuable contributions.
