Mumbai: Five contract workers died of suffocation while cleaning a water tank at an under-construction building in Mumbai, officials said on Sunday. 

According to Dynamite News correspondent, the incident occured at Bismillaha Space Building on Dimtimkar Road in Nagpada area.

The workers were rushed to JJ Hospital by the Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) where they were declared brought dead. 

The identity of the deceased workers were not immediately known.  The incident occurred around 12:29 pm. Further details are awaited.
