5 arrested by UP STF for smuggling cannabis

Lucknow: Special Task Force (STF) of Uttar Pradesh police today arrested five people allegedly involved in smuggling of narcotics substance in Chandauli district and cannabis worth over Rs 30 lakh was recovered from them, an official release said.

The arrests were made from Alinagar area at past last midnight following a tip off. 

Sudhir Singh, Pradeep Yadav, Shailendra Singh, Munni Lal and Atul Singh were arrested by a team of STF in Chandauli with 351 kg cannabis worth over Rs 30 lakh, the release said. (PTI)
