Srinagar: Four people were killed in a blast that occurred in the scrap dealer's premises in the Sopore area of North Kashmir's Baramulla district on Monday, police said.
The incident occurred while a scrap dealer was unloading material from a truck in Sher Colony in Sopore.
Superintendent of Police Divya D said that the blast took place in the premises of Abdul Raahid Bhat, a scrap dealer.

“ They had got the scrap from Ladakh and while unloading the material from the truck, an unfortunate incident took place that claimed four lives,” SP Sopore said.
She identified the four deceased as Nazir Ahmad Nadroo, 45, Aazim Ashraf Mir, 20, Aadil Rashid Bhat, 23 and Mohammad Azhar, 26- all residents of Sher colony.
Divya said that a case has been registered and investigation has been taken up.
