Mainpuri: Three women of a family died after the roof of their two-storey house collapsed due to heavy rain in Brahmpur village in Uttar Pradesh's Mainpuri district on Thursday, police said.
Mainpuri Deputy SP Satya Prakash Sharma said that the roof of the house collapsed under the weight of the heavy rain.

"Three women have died in the roof collapse incident. There are no other injuries. The house was 15-16 years old, and it's believed that the roof gave way due to the heavy rain," SP Sharma said.

According to Mainpuri ADM Ramji Mishra, the incident occurred at 8 AM, and the house belonged to serviceman Kaushalendra Yadav.
Compensation of Rs 4 lakhs each
"The deceased have been identified as Neelam, Anupama, and Preeti, aged between 30 and 35 years," he said.
ADM Mishra also confirmed that compensation will be provided to the next of kin. "Compensation of Rs 4 lakhs each will be given to their families," he said.
