Amaravati: One person died while two others were injured in an accident in which a car crashed into the divider on a highway near Nandigama town in Andhra Pradesh's NTR district on Friday, police said.

Nandigama Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Janardhan Naidu said, "A person died and two others were injured in an accident where a car crashed into the divider on the Penuganchiprolu Mandal Mundlapadu road."

"Fire broke out in the car after it crashed. Fire tenders are on the spot to douse the fire," DCP said.

Visuals showed the car on fire as fire tenders arrived at the spot and started operation to control the flames. More details are awaited. (ANI)
