Ferrari 488 GTB Launched in India for Rs 3.88 Crore

New Delhi / 17 Feb 2016. Famous Italian sports car maker Ferrari has launched its 488 GTB (Gran Turismo Berlinetta) model in India today, and is available at Ferrari dealerships around the country at a price of Rs 3.88 crore.

Despite bearing a strong resemblance to the Ferrari 458 Italia model, and retaining specific design aspects, the Ferrari 488 GTB is 85 percent new and been designed to improve aerodynamics. The F1 inspired front double spoiler and aero-pillar combination results in an impressive 50 percent increase in down force. 

The Ferrari 488 GTB can go from 0 to 100kmph in 3 seconds and 0 to 200kmph in 8.3 seconds. With a maximum speed of 325 km/h, the car is one of the fastest street legal cars available around the world.

The biggest difference in the new Ferrari model is the use of a F154 turbocharged V8 engine as generally most cars made by the brand feature naturally aspirated V8 engines. The new Ferrari 488GTB comes powered with a 3.9L, 8 cylinder petrol engine capable of churning out maximum power output of 660bhp and maximum torque of 760Nm. 

Apart from the Ferrari 488 GTB model, Ferrari currently offers the Ferrari California and Ferrari FF models in India.
