Lucknow/ 22 October 2016. Samajwadi Party Supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav has expelled party MLC and CM’s  close aide Udayveer Singh from the party for six years.

Udayveer’s  removal comes a day after he wrote a letter to Mulayam Singh in which he had accused Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav’s stepmother Sadhna of practising black magic on him (Yadav).

In his letter, Udayveer had alleged that Shivpal Yadav and Sadha were jealous of Akhilesh Yadav’s popularity as Chief Minister.

He  added that the SP needed to revoke the expulsion of youth leaders who protested against Shivpal Yadav’s appointment as state party chief.

Udayveer also wrote  that Akhilesh was the incumbent party’s most credible leader.

His letter drew much criticism from party quarters.

Party spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said, “Letter written by the MLC Udayveer Singh is inappropriate; he crossed his line.” His allegations were not substantiated, Bhatia added.

SP leader Ashu Malik said that people writing such letters were not “even worth 500 votes”.

“Any attempt to humiliate Netaji (Mulayam) will not be tolerated,” Malik added.
