NRI woman completes 32,000 km solo road-trip from UK to India

Bharulata Kamble, an NRI woman from Navsari district of Gujarat, has set a world record by driving solo 32,000km from the United Kingdom to India.


Bharulata, 43, has become the first woman to complete the 2,792km Arctic Circle out of her strong willpower.


During her journey, she traversed across 32 countries in 57 days to spread the message of 'Save girls, educate girls'. 

 


Kamble drove through nine mountain ranges, three major deserts and two continents.


"My mission is to work for the girl child. I wanted to show the world that there is nothing which we women can't do.” Bharulata told the media. 


“Girls should be educated for betterment of the society," she added.
