New Delhi/ 23 September 2016. Indian author-columnist and diplomat Navtej Singh Sarna (IFS: 1980) has been appointed as the next Ambassador of India to the United States of America.

He is currently the Indian High Commissioner to the UK. Previously as a diplomat he has served in Moscow, Warsaw, Thimphu, Geneva, Teheran and Washington, DC.
