83 posts of Judges lying vacant in UP High Court

New Delhi/ 31 August 2016. It’s quite difficult to get timely justice in Uttar Pradesh as 83 posts of judges are still lying vacant in both the benches of Allahabad and Lucknow High Court. 

Out of total 160 sanctioned posts of judges in both the benches, only 77 posts are filled in. 

UP Governor Ram Naik called on President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday and requested him to look in to the matter. He also told the President that collegium of High Court has already recommended names but postings have not been made.
