5 MPhils, 253 Postgraduates apply for a porter job in Maharashtra

Mumbai/ 21 June 2016. Out of 2,424 applications received by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) for the five ‘hamal’ (porter) posts in Maharashtra, 253 are post graduates, 984 graduates and five are MPhil degree holders.

MPSC statement 

“We have received applications from 2,424 candidates for five ‘hamal’ posts. They include 984 graduates, 253 with post graduates, five MPhils, 9 PG diploma, 109 diploma, 605 HSC (class 12), 282 SSC (class 10) and 177 below SSC qualification,” said Rajendra Mangrulkar, secretary, MPSC. 

The exam for the post will be held in August, added Mangrulkar. 

The minimum qualification for the post is class 4 pass and the age limit is 18-33 years.
